I'm a huge fan of almonds. But I hear ya on not being able to use or bake with certain ingredients because the people around you aren't too keen on them. Me? I love almond paste. My husband? He can take it or leave it. I know, WHAT GIVES?? Anyhow, I still bake with almond paste frequently, even if he'll only eat a few of the resulting baked goods. His co-workers, though, usually get the rest -- and happily, they DO like almond paste. ;)

I agree...any chance to make something with almond flavor must be grabbed. The name sounds so sophisticated and, since I was there when you made them, I know how good they taste. I really liked them with a cup of hot tea. And recommend others try it that way, too!
